Here are the kinds of technology Air Oasis air purifiers use and the solutions they provide.HEPA and Carbon Filtration
Filtration is an excellent method for capturing particles in your air, including allergens and dust. The True HEPA filter Air Oasis uses can capture particles as large as 10 microns and as small as 0.1 microns.Our iAdaptAir ranges from 25-52 dB, depending on fan speed. Ionization
There are a few different types of ionization. Air Oasis technology uses both Advanced Hydrated PCO (AHPCO) ionization and bipolar (cold plasma) ionization. This is a proactive type of technology that will release ions into your air and deactivate contaminants on a molecular level.Ionic air purifiers may have a small fan to give a boost to the spread of ions throughout the room, but most commonly rely on the natural air flow in your home. The G3 Series uses both of these ionization technologies. Ionization eliminates the following:
- Mold and mycotoxins
- Viruses and bacteria
- Smoke
- Odors

Now, you need to keep in mind how large of a space and how many spaces you are wanting to purify. There are two different types of purifiers: whole house units and portable ones. Next, we’ll discuss the differences between the two and how to choose the one you need.Whole-House Air Purifier
This type of air purifier will attach to your HVAC system to purify the air throughout every room the duct supplies to. We recommend one per individual air handler. This option is great for larger homes or buildings, though you will need to find and pay a contractor to do the installation for you. This is a long-term, cost-effective option due to fewer units needing maintenance and upkeep, which will be discussed in more detail later.
Portable Air Purifier
The recommended coverage areas for Air Oasis portable purifiers range from 250-900 sq ft., depending on the size and functionality of the air purifier. These are single-room units that are not capable of effectively purifying the air outside the room it is placed in. This is because the walls of the room will block the airflow and limit an air purifier’s capabilities. For example, if a unit is capable of purifying up to 600 sq ft., but is placed in a 450 sq ft. room, it will only be cleaning the air within the 450 sq ft. room. Leaving the door open allows for the possibility of some outside air being purified.
Some people prefer a combination of these two types of air purifiers. A whole-house unit will offer a blanket of protection and a portable one can be placed in a high-traffic room, or one that suffers from exceptionally poor air quality. If you do not own your home or building, then it may be simpler to go with portable units in every room.
Air Purifier Replacement Parts
Most air purifiers will require some form of maintenance, which is an added investment to consider. Air Oasis HEPA filters typically need to be replaced once every 6-12 months and AHPCO cells should be replaced at least once every two years. Our Bi-Polar® 2400 does not require any replacement parts, making it long-term cost-effective after the installation.
